HOW TO APPLY
Applying to Graduate School
Interested in the Master's of Science Counseling Program or the Doctorate in Philosophy Counseling Psychology Program? Then, click the button below. You'll be directed to the USM website where you can get more information and start the application process. If you're interested in my lab specifically, be sure to say so in your personal statement and address why you think you would be a good fit. Please note that both programs are generalist in nature, meaning that they do not focus exclusively on forensic or correctional psychology training. Good luck!
Applying to Work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant
Want to gain valuable hands-on, research experience? Thinking about graduate school? Consider joining our lab as an undergraduate research assistant! Research assistants are essential to running a smooth research program. As an RA, you'll be involved in a variety of tasks ranging from literature searches to data entry and management to on-site data collection (note: travel for research is contingent on availability/need and the student's proven work ethic). The graduate students and myself will also provide you with mentorship to help you apply to graduate programs and advance your general professional development. All accepted RAs must be current students at USM and will be required to register for PSY 491. Students are strongly encouraged to have taken Research Methods (PSY 361) before applying and should expect to commit to the lab for at least one academic year. Applications can be completed by clicking on the button below. All applications are due on April 15th for positions beginning in the upcoming fall semester.
